Microchip Rectangular Patch Antenna with Diamond Inset for IoT Applications

Transceivers operating in the ISM band experience undesired signal reception due to the common selection of wire antennas. Microchip rectangular patch antenna with diamond inset is presented in this work with a size of
$29.78\times 38.39\times 1.6 \text{mm}^{3}$
operating at 2.44 GHz with a bandwidth of 120 MHz and a radiation efficiency of 90%. These properties are suitable for IoT applications. The presented 2.44 GHz antenna has a better gain of 4.58 dBi and a broadside direction radiation pattern at E-plane and H-plane. The parametric measurements of the proposed IoT antenna are presented.
